Privacy Policy
Summary
swanseek does not personalize its content, and we do not want more data than we need to run the service. We collect the minimum required to deliver the product, operate the site, and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information. We do not build advertising profiles about you. Every subscriber receives the same content regardless of any data associated with their account.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — email address and a password hash if you create an account.
- Communications — the content of messages you send us (support, feedback, corrections).
- Payment information — if and when paid subscriptions launch, payment data is collected by our payment processor, not by us. We receive only a subscription status and the last four digits of a card where applicable. [Processor to be named on launch.]
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps, logged to operate and secure the service.
- Usage data — the URLs you request, aggregated request counts, and error telemetry. We use this to operate the service, not to profile you.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not collect contacts, microphone, camera, or device identifiers beyond what a standard web browser sends.
- We do not collect or request information about your holdings, portfolio, or trading activity. Please do not send it to us.
How we use information
- To operate the service — authenticate your session, serve you the site, deliver the content that every subscriber receives.
- To secure the service — detect abuse, investigate incidents, enforce our Terms.
- To communicate with you about the service — notices, changes, responses to your messages.
- To comply with legal obligations — including tax, accounting, and response to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use any of this information to personalize, re-order, score, rank, or target the content we publish. Personalization is not a product we offer.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies or equivalent technologies strictly necessary to operate the site (for example, maintaining your session). [If and when we introduce analytics, the provider, purpose, retention, and any applicable consent mechanism will be described here before collection begins.]
Sharing
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers — infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and error monitoring vendors acting on our behalf under written terms. [Vendor list to be published on launch.]
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or lawful process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a material breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close an account, we delete or de-identify associated personal information on a rolling schedule, subject to records we are required to retain. [Specific retention periods to be published on launch.]
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
EEA / UK residents: the legal bases on which we process personal information include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. [CCPA-specific categories and a verifiable request process to be published on launch.]
International transfers
swanseek operates from and stores data in [region(s) to be confirmed on launch]. If you access the service from another region, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in a jurisdiction with different data-protection laws. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
Children
swanseek is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance.
